Removal and installation of components of the Bosch Motronic 5.1 system

Fuel highway and injectors of injection

Before implementation of the procedure attentively study preventions of the section Power supply system - petrol models!


Before making the decision on replacement of a faulty injector, test on it any of special cleaners widespread now.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

2. Disconnect a vacuum tube from pressure regulator, then give a nut of a fixing bolt.

3. Remove a fixing level on the fuel highway of a plait of an electrical wiring and hoses.

4. Without forgetting about the preventions made in the section Dropping Pressure in a power supply system weaken fixing collars and disconnect hoses of giving and return of fuel from the fuel highway. Factory collars of the twisted type at assembly should be replaced more practical screw or worm.

5. Wring out lock uvulas and disunite sockets of an electrical wiring of four injectors of injection.
6. Give fixing bolts and nuts and accurately remove assembly of the fuel highway with injectors from the inlet pipeline. Take the removed assembly from the car. Remove sealing rings from end faces of all injectors (at assembly they are subject to replacement without fail).
7. Remove a lock ring (a) and take the corresponding injector(s) from the fuel highway. Remove the top sealing ring (y) from each of the removed injectors. All sealing rings at assembly are subject to replacement!
8. Installation is made upside-down. Pay attention to the next moments:
   a) Do not forget to install new sealing rings on unions of the being removed injectors;
   b) For simplification of landing of injectors their sealing rings should be oiled slightly pure motive;
   c) In conclusion the engine should be started and checked for existence of signs of leak of fuel.

Fuel pressure regulator

Before implementation of the procedure attentively study preventions of the section Power supply system - petrol models!


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a vacuum tube from the regulator. Pay attention that access to the regulator at not removed fuel highway is extremely limited. In case of need address materials of the previous subsection and remove the highway.
2. Impose the regulator with rags to exclude dispersion of fuel, then remove a lock ring and take the regulator from the fuel highway.
3. Installation is made upside-down. Previously check a condition of sealing laying of the regulator, in case of need make replacement.

Potentiometer of an axis of a butterfly valve

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
2. Release a clamp and disunite the potentiometer electrical wiring socket.
3. Turn out two fixing screws and remove a potentiometer from an axis of a butterfly valve.
4. Installation is made upside-down. Track correctness of installation of a potentiometer on an axis of the gate and reliability of fixing of the socket of an electrical wiring.

Electronic control unit (ECU)

ECU is placed in the plastic box fixed on a mudguard of the right forward wheel.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. For removal of ECU it is necessary to disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
2. Uncover with a box, then take a fixing clamp and disunite ECU electrical wiring socket.
3. Take ECU from the box.
4. In case of need turn out fixing screws and remove a box from a mudguard.
5. Installation is made upside-down. Track reliability of fixing of the electric socket.

Valve of additional air

The valve is installed from the back party of the inlet pipeline.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
2. Wring out a clamp and disunite the valve electrical wiring socket.
3. Release fixing collars and disconnect both vacuum hoses from the valve of additional air.
4. Take the valve from a rubber support and remove it from the regular place.
5. Installation is made upside-down. Previously check a condition of a rubber support of the valve. In case of need make replacement.

The sensor of absolute pressure in the inlet pipeline (MAR)

The MAR sensor is in the right part of a motive compartment and is fixed on a wing cornice.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
2. Give a fixing nut and release the sensor from the body panel.
3. Disconnect the sensor from an electrical wiring and a vacuum hose and remove it from the car.
4. Installation is made upside-down.

Sensor of temperature of cooling liquid

The sensor of temperature of the soaked-up air (IAT)

The IAT sensor is screwed in the top part of a casing of the air cleaner.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
2. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the sensor, then remove it from the car.
3. Installation is made upside-down.

Sensor of provision of a bent shaft

The sensor is installed in a forward part of a dome of transmission.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
2. Walk on an electrical wiring from the sensor to the contact socket back. Disconnect a sensor electrical wiring from the main plait.
3. Having hooked, take the rubber plug through passage, then give a fixing bolt and remove the sensor from transmission.
4. Installation is made upside-down. Track reliability of fixing of the plug through passage and durability of tightening of fixture.

Block of the relay of system of injection of fuel

The block of the relay is installed on a basic plate of ECU fixed on a mudguard of the right forward wheel.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove ECU (see above the subsection "Electronic Control Unit (ECU)").
2. Disconnect an electrical wiring and remove the relay block from a basic plate.
3. Installation is made upside-down. Track reliability of fixing of the block on a plate.
